It has a flat cut base, is self-standing on any level surface. Expertly polished to show off the amazing detail. I photographed it showing both sides, in natural outside light...no enhancements of any kind. 1 lb. 3 oz 4 inches tall 3 inches wide 1.6 inches thick Apatite has a hardness of 5 on the Mohs scale. It has a specific gravity of around 3.2 to 3.4, and it typically has a hexagonal crystal structure. The basic formula for apatite is Ca5(PO4)3X.
