From the wonderfully mineral rich Island Nation of Madagascar comes another beautiful specimen. Beautiful orange, pink, cream, brown and white swirls and whorls, has some orbicular eyes like an ocean jasper. Also called Sea-flower Agate locally and Madagascar Agate. These palm stones have exceptional inclusions, they remind me of beautiful glycerin soap with embeds. 🔹Beautiful on both sides, these stones have a great smooth polish. I love the nearby Ocean Jasper with its blues and pinks and browns but think the Earth tone colors in this Agate variety are equally stunning! Weighs 4.1 - 4.8 ounces each. 64 - 70 mm at longest oval point. While each has a unique pattern, I picked this grouping because they are similar in size and beauty. I will pick one for you from the 6 pictured. I would want any one of them hands down. 🔹Agate is a form of fibrous Chalcedony from the branch of the Quartz family called cryptocrystalline, macrocrystalline is the other (amethyst/citrine). It has a 6.5-7 hardness on the Mohs scale. There are hundreds of agate varieties. Madagascar Agate of this color is rarer and a more sought out type of agate.
