Handmade Original Mermaid Sea Shell Wall Art Collage Mosaic, titled Queen of the Deep. 12 inch round shape, very dimensional. This piece is made on a heavy duty backing with a rattan plate backed with cardboard. Its hanger is imbedded deep in the piece and professionally glued and stapled. This collage has over 100 pieces of collected shells, beads, quartz crystal, starfish, glass baubles, sea glass, an abalone shell, driftwood, turquoise beads, sea life and a hand cast in clay and hand painted beautifully ancient Mermaid face. A piece of fish netting is added to complete the Island seashore feel. Maybe you will glimpse her surfacing near the rocks. All treasures are permanently affixed with my on unique combination of adhesives which are unseen. These attachments are here to stay. The mermaid crone is resting near a bed of seaweed (preserved moss). Much attention to detail goes into this piece which from beginning to end takes about three days to make. The backing is primed and painted in lite turquoise, mostly unseen. Very dimensional piece of art. There are no resin or fake shells anywhere on this original art. An ocean themed, beautiful addition to any décor. Please only display indoors as piece is not waterproof. My studio and home is non-smoking.
